Continuing headphone buzz test on IC521, touching pin 6 buzz right, touching pin 2 buzz left, and touching IC503 should. give buzz in both channels (adpcm mono) on pin 6 (loud), pin 2 (weaker), you can nearly with just the buzz test locate. where the problem is.

Lens/laser needs to be replaced (cheap and easy); 3. Various pots for the lens/laser need to be adjusted, or 4. A combination of the previous three issues.

Adjustment to any of the pots on the TurboDuo's gave no positive results what so ever. In the end it amounted to me needing to simply adjust the pot on the laser itself. I would play a track or two, if whine persisted, shut down, adjust the pot a tad, turn the unit back on, and test again on the same tracks.

Pro. No question about it. You get all the features. If you really want an Everdrive, you might as well just go with the Pro, since it will save you having to burn discs, plus you could theoretically use it to play CD-ROM games on an original console if you have one or obtain one in the future.
