Even by 1985 standards, the bike's original design was dirty - Hence why US spec K75s were 68 hp, while Euro spec was 75. In the 90s, the EPA updated their rules to test for cold starts, and the EU created Europe wide emissions regulations. If the bike's engine configuration led to oil seepage problems like Ryan explained, then there is no way

BMW built one of the best motorcycle engines of all time; an inline triple/four laid on its side: The Flying Brick. The motor was smooth, powerful and easy to work on. It should be everywhere today but BMW abruptly abandoned production in the 1990s. Why? Support us by shopping motorcycle gear with this link: https://frt9.co/aeu0mn

Has anyone ever seen the K75/100 as anything other than a custom cafe or brat in its next life? I've looked through the web and on here but can't seem to find anything other than that. Would like to find out if people used these for more adventure riding or strapped a sidecar to it or heck anything other than a cafe racer.

It was ok but certainly not BMW's best engineering, IMO. I just read that BMW Motorcycles set a new company record for sales in 2022. Posted: 7/28/2023 9:32:10 PM EDT

The K75S was and STILL is arguably one of BMW's 'best', most nimble, practical and enjoyable all round sport bikes ever made. A worthy successor to the R90S ground breaking classic of the mid 70s. It's designed around the stress membered 3 cylinder 750cc liguid cooled DOHC block -- with fuel injection and 'compact drive unit' integrated wtih

My first BMW was a '92 K75S. It was a fun bike. It was easy to work on, and work on it I did. I did a partial restoration on a bike that had sat virtually unused for two years, outside, uncovered, under a fir tree dropping needles, in close proximity to salt water. Bought it for $2000 for it and sold it for $4500.

Many people feel that the K75 is the best bike BMW has ever produced. Period. If it is not the best, I would say that it comes in second. Some feel that the K75s is the best of the best, and it is a very, very nice machine. BTW, I ended up with a silver, low seat 1995 K75 standard with 3 spoke wheels, ABS, heated grips, cases, and an OEM

The K75 featured a 750cc air-cooled horizontal three cylinder engine known as "the flying brick" due to its brick like appearance. The engine has a characteristic high pitched whine at idle known in the BMW community as the "K bike whine". For a motorcycle, the engine is smooth as butter. There is hardly any engine vibration.

Abandoned Explored: The House On Lovell Road Pt.1 - Blogger

The House On Lovell Road Pt.1. As I ere stated, most of my "in depth" explorations of abandoned places usually occur during early Sunday mornings. Like this old house along Lovell Road, in West Knoxville (or thereabouts). I did some exploring one chilly March (2015) morning, about a week after I came across it in one of my "drive-time wanderings".
