Yeah, I didn't amplify the audio enough in the editor for it to be really easily audible. However if you listen from the first few seconds to the 0:10 mark, you'll hear a relatively loud static "WOOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHH" noise take place in the background. Some of the more subtle sound effects are nearly drowned out by the static, so yeah.

Ok, so I am editing the s550 mod by @Tsutarja495 so that the i4 and v6 have their engine sounds and startups restored from the previous version. When I first started, I didn't yet change the sfxBlend2D file, so they worked as long as the new s550.zip was accompanied by the old 1517mustang.zip file.

BeamNG is certainly quieter than other racing games as we are trying to achieve a higher dynamic range, rather than all vehicles simply being loud. Because the vehicles are highly configurable, we need the volume headroom to allow the vehicle to get louder as you change parts to make it more powerful etc.
