This particular CGI caused the most uproar amongst viewers. The third eye is a sign of Dr Strange's corruption and its presence sparked strong debates amongst viewers. For both its meaning to the plot and CGI. The quality of the eye's CGI differed in various shots. In some, it was passable but in others, it was deemed to be laughably bad.

The thing that bugged me about the third eye is it looked like a copy/paste of a left or right eye, it didn't look like it was a properly CGI rendered middle eye like you would get with cyclops (not that Doctor Strange is a cyclops but a cyclops is the only thing with a central eye), which I think would have been better looking. 1.

Pros: It's different, it's stylized, it's got some cool dark fantasy / horror elements that you don't see in many movies let alone the MCU, it's fast-paced, it's got great Marvel fan-service with character cameos, it's got some big surprises, the villain has some moments where they are very creepy in a cool way, it's got some creative magic fights, the villain is a bold creative choice.

The cinematography in the MCU actually improved significantly in phase 4 with projects like Eternals, Wakanda Forvever, Multiverse Of Madness, Loki(especially S2), and Black Widow. It definitely hasn't reached back to the heights of stuff like IronMan, Thor, and The First Avenger, but it's a major improvement over Phase 3.
