If you shift the dates back a bit, from June 8, 1986, through June 27, 1987, Davis hit 46 home runs and stole 99 bags. He's the only player in MLB history to have a 162-game stretch with those numbers.

From June 11th, 1986 through July 4th, 1987, Eric Davis played 162 games for the Cincinnati Reds and he hit .308/.406/.622. What's also crazy (and I guess makes sense) is he led MLB with 744 PA and didn't hit into a double play. It's mind blowing. Also in 1998, he was the leadoff hitter on opening day for the Astros, so he didn't have the chance to do it, but his 2nd plate appearance, he had the bases loaded with 1 out, and grounded into a double play the first chance he had.
