The Rust Raid Calculator Advanced gives you an even more detailed overview of what you'll need to raid bases and structures. Find the structures you want to raid by pressing the + sign, input how many of them (example 2 HQM walls + 5 metal walls) and get the recommended stuff you'll need to take it down! You can get the recommended with

RAID Calculator. Use this RAID calculator to easily calculate RAID capacity, disk space utilization, cost per usable TB, read/write efficiency (I/O operations per second improvement) and more. Supported levels are: RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 1E, RAID 4, RAID 5, RAID 5E/EE, RAID 6, RAID 10, RAID 50, and RAID 60. $. Calculate.

Storage capacity equals the size of the smallest capacity drive in the RAID. As an example, a two-drive HDD RAID 1 containing 8 TB drives would have 1 * 8 = 8 TB of capacity. RAID 4. Storage capacity equals the sum of the capacity of all drives MINUS one. (Not used for HDD RAIDs, optimized for SSD RAIDs.)

For maximum performance, RAID 0 stripes data across all 4 disks. This allows for very fast read/write speeds but offers no redundancy. RAID 0 is best for non-critical data where speed is the top concern. For the best balance of performance and redundancy, RAID 10 mirrors 2 disks into a RAID 1 array, then stripes them.

1 x 4TB - file system (video, music, private cloud) 1 x 4TB - daily backup 4 bays: 2 x 2TB - RAID 0. (video, music, private cloud) 1 x 4 TB - daily backup I could use the fourth bay with dedicated drive for backups of my PC and laptops. I'm looking for the fastest read/write speed for my content.
https://superuser.com/questions/567654/mdadm-safest-way-to-grow-raid-5-4x2tb-with-2x4tb
I am currently running a RAID 5 with 4x2 TB disks and would like to grow the array with 2 x 4 TB disks. The goal would be that there is a RAID 5 with 4 x 4 TB (the two 4 TB disks and two RAID 0 with each two 2 TB disks). Unfortunately I don't have enough space to make a full backup, so I can't build a new RAID.

Establishing an SHR array only requires choosing between 1 or 2 disk redundancy and then three simple steps. The screenshots of the setup process in the gallery below are taken from Synology's DSM on-line tutorial. In this example, SHR and RAID 1 provide similar capacity. In this example, SHR has 2TB more capacity than RAID5 with the same

The Phoenix V3 is a bunker base with a minimum raid cost of 27 rockets to the TC. It's key features is the use of floor stacking, which makes the base incredibly strong compared to how unassuming it is. Uninformed raiders might estimate that a raid through the ceiling will cost 19 rockets: 4 for the visible stone ceiling, 15 in the worst case

This base creates an illusion of an easy door raid thanks to its minimal footprint. Reality is this base is a door raiders worse nightmare costing them 25+ rockets to open up the sealed core within. This base is perfect for that solo/duo that never stop moving. Allowing quick sealing / unsealing for on the go roams without the need to respawn

You can hit 2-8GB/s with raid 0 SSDs, but the more speed you want, the more the controller will cost. If you want extreme real world performance, you fill your mobo with 48GB of the highest performing ram you can possibly put in your PC. Then you turn that into a ram drive. The ram drive will have 20-30GB/s read speeds and write speeds.

My thinking is that with RAID 5 you have 75% of your total disk space. So I'd have 3TB. Have 4 1TB drives is cheaper than having 2 3TB ones (by almost $100 from a quick look on Amazon). Thanks for the advice though. I'll see about getting some from different distributors.

Just for fun I'm wondering if I could theoretically set up my Mac Pro so I can edit 4K uncompressed @ 25fps. (4700mbits/s) If I get four WD Black Caviar HDDs (4 x 4TB RAID 0) that would mean the 4 x SATA 2 drive speed (SATA 2 = 300MB/s) So x4 = 9.4gbits/s easily enough to edit 4K @ 25fps but probably not @ 50fps. I'm booting off a PCIe SSD so that wouldn't be a problem.

Cost $1325 (250 plus tax each) - available space 24tb after 2 drives used for parity. Added bonus of less chance of losing two drives at the same time since there are only 5 total. Electricity cost reduced due to less drives and Helium drives are 33% more efficient. Fly in ointment, not sure if they have tler active so could be an issue with zfs

I would wallstack with a square on the middle honeycomb triangle, for starters. If honeycomb is already there id probably do 4 small widegap triangles off the same spot. I never build 2x2's but one of my old favorite designs i memorized was vices floor stacked 2x2 — very solid design - still holds up to this day.

FOIL stands for 'First, Outer, Inner, Last', and refers to the order in which you multiply the terms of the two binomials to get the expanded expression. What is the perfect square rule? The perfect square rule is a technique used to expand expressions that are the sum or difference of two squares, such as (a + b)^2 or (a - b)^2.
