If you're on the official servers, you might wanna do it during an evo-event. A LVL100-150 Shadowmane can take from 30-50+ baskets of 1.0+ fish without the 2x multiplier. That and the constant server crashing doesn't help either. My high level spino seems to be a much better investment than the trying to tame the bugged pain in the butt shadowmane.

To tame a shadow mane you need to get fish in a basket, the higher multiplier the quicker the taming speed. I recommend coelencath. Put the fish in your last slot of your hotbar. During the day the shadow mane will occasionally lie down and sleep, only during the day.
