With the crankshaft at TDC and the camshaft sprocket aligned with the backing plate mark you have the camshaft timing set and can replace the belt. Obviously after refitting the belt you need to double check the timing marks to make sure it is still timed correctly. It appears the can bus is a standard serial interface much like any other so backwards engineering it should be easy (I spend a lot of time devising serial communication system for use in music). The car didn't launch very well, had less power at lower RPMs (up to 3,500-4,000) and it was really felt that it had much more before the tuning even though at 4000rpm it was stronger. Also it was weaker on higher speeds. So overall, wasn't an original BR perf probably and caused issues, the engine sounded weird like a diesel engine.
