It's probably to do more stress testing on the Crossplay. They dont want to push out an entirely new version of the demo and risk everything being leaked/hacked/cracked, when they could just stick their incomplete vertical slice on steam and get the same general network test going.

I'd say the other main big bits of info are an input delay reduction feature, and also the fact that if you got into the first beta you're automatically into the second beta so there's no need to apply again. Edit: Also sounds like 120hz support if you turn off V-Sync. Don't know if that was a thing in the first beta or not but there you go.
