I love the idea of competitive AI. Chess is one thing, but not all that interesting to watch. RTS games have so many moving components and vulnerabilities to exploit instead of 1 action every 30s. What a lot of games do is instead of investing more time into better AI they just have the AI cheat by gathering more resources or something similar.
