Solo only player here and absolutely it's fun solo. I'd argue more so because you don't have to worry about the chronic wipes, hackers, and griefers plaguing the official servers right now. I guess you could say it is "self made goals" though. There's a ton to explore and data slates to find that give some lore and a kind of story.

Spawns near Anubis and desert at nightime. Yeah crafting is pretty much useless for player. You will need 99 flowers (easiest to farm them on sanctuary islands) and some other ingredients to make memory wipe elixir for respec. You need electric medicine bench to make that elixir. No need to restart.

0.5 player damage is also a bit sad because you don't feel you're really impactful on bosses or hard pals. So 2nd playthrough I changed that. 0.5 pals damage (make fight longer, breeding for combat relevant and my damage impactful) Damage received x2 (x4 with the 0.5 pals in mind) until I get a good armor then back to x4 maybe.

2) and Lumbering (Lv.3), Arsox is a fantastic Pal to accompany you in your solo journey to keep you warm in cold environments, which is an important survival aspect. You can hatch an Arsox from a Scorching Egg but that is dependent on chances and luck.

Solo is fun if you typically enjoy solo games. I always love in depth survival games but I never liked the audience they tend to draw. I'm not a big PvP person either. So when I can play a game like Scum, Minecraft or Project Zomboid, I play it solo. Same with Palworld. I don't feel like I'm missing anything, to be honest.

Yeah you can do singleplayer by starting a server for yourself. No need to do multiplayer unless you want friends to play with but currently there's no PVP anyways. It's more just helping each other I'm guessing. It's a survival game like Arka, so if you can play that solo, you can play this solo. 2.

The main advantage of playing solo is no sharing resources and no lag. Every skill fruit is there, every boss is available whenever you want, etc. Both have pros and cons, but if you do plan to play multiplayer, I suggest going to the discord and checking out the Server advertisement area. There's channels for the 3 major regions and an area

Only difference is time doesn't stop when you log off. So if all of your food is going to spoil in 20 hours, and you hop off and hop back on 20 hours later, all your food will be spoiled. On Singleplayer, your food will spoil in 20 hours no matter when you get back on. Nothing's missing. It's the same game the whole time.
