My BASIC demo called "Sieni Pakottaa" does not actually run correctly on BlueMSX. It seems that the R800 emulation is a bit too quick and that causes wave effect to end before end of screen. Last time I checked the effect was even much worse on OpenMSX.

The idea of such a "Dreamcompiler" is simple... Doing that, anyone could create great games for the MSX, and dump the ROMs on the web, and burn cartridges compatible with any MSX. Try to imagine new Konami quality games running on any MSX without any kind of extension. You still need to be a good programmer to make Konami quality games.

Possibly also because few coders were capable of making multiple parts in which graphics/animations tell a story, instead, they just showed texts telling a story. The MSX-scene didn't quite have the "show, don't tell"-vibe. Granted, MSX (or rather: the VDP) isn't quite the best demo-system; other systems were better equiped for that.
