If you flex the muscle you add tension to your muscles. Those studies compare low weight + flexing vs low weight or in other terms more tension vs less tension. And surprise surprise the group with more tension grows a tiny bit more. But when they go above 80% 1RM those differences disappear completely.

Completely different lifestyle from the nerds but too awkward for the "normies" and the bodybuilders. Parts of you belong to one culture and other parts belong to an "oppositional" culture. I have found some other people who are into fitness that were former nerds or are still nerds, but it's mostly cycling, running, or Crossfit.

Bodyweight: 75kg / 165lbs. Squats: 1RM 160kg / 352lbs. Deadlifts: 1RM 185kg / 407lbs. Bench: 1RM 120kg / 264lbs. The overall goal is still to get stronger in the main lifts. I watched some videos and read some reviews and I landed on those 2 programs: Stronger by Science and Jeff Nippard Powerbuilding System.

Start with the science and adjust as needed - this is the recommendation from the science. What the science says: Train each muscle 2x per week, up to 6 sets per muscle per day, up to 10-20 sets per muscle per week. Use some form of double progression. take a deload every 4-8 weeks. Adjust as you learn your body.
