added roller bridge and nut to my GE775 hollow body with confidence and have intonation first tuning first attempt with no buzz I might add. the close ups of the roller bridges show the pointers dialed in on the loE and hiE having the exact placement made this job fun I knew it was going to work no ruler with all those lines this tool is like having a jig made for that guitar.

I have had excellent results on five guitars (all with the same saddle thickness, so the Saddlematic doesn't need to be adjusted) using the Saddlematic on various scale lengths. I'd aligned my bridge and saddle with the saddlematic and a real luthier independently aligned the bridge and saddle using his preferred methods.

There are two ways to do the rough adjustment: with a precision rule, or with a Saddlematic. With the precision rule, measure from the nut to the center of the 12th fret, and then flip the rule to measure from the center of the 12th fret to your saddle locations. (measure in line with where each string would lie).

The Intonator finds the correct location for placing the saddle on a flattop guitar bridge. Dan Erlewine designed it to use before cutting the saddle slot in new bridges, or when you fill and reslot an existing saddle. The old method of placing dowels or pins under the strings isn't accurate because the strings pull the dowels out of position.
