The things it does well ultimately don't save it, its not like Legends which while it cut a lot it was still a worth title playing, Crusader 2 isn't. Alot of Casual style maps are built around a fun idea which generally can result in uneven resources for the sake of a fun map / minigame, ie, 2 players low resources low farmland, vs prebuilt AI on mountain keep. Some of these unequal maps can be fun in player vs player scenarios for those looking to be challenged. But generally, I agree.

Once you have found a game you would like to join, double click on the game or select the game and press the Join button in the top right corner. If you would like to host a Stronghold game in GameRanger click the Host button. Choose the options for your game and click OK to host the game. This will create a Room.

Is there a multiplayer mode in any Stronghold for 5 players? E.g. 5 castles and then fight one against the other. Stronghold Crusader and Stronghold 2 supports up to 8 players in multi (without AI in SH2). Not sure about SH1, Crusader 2 and Warlords can have up to 8 opponents (of which max 4 is human). Legends is out of question.
