Sure an hour long grievous fight scene wouldn't have worked back then but these days it would totally fly. No such "cut" of the film in a watchable state exists. Even with the fully made up but deleted scenes you don't add on more than like, 15, 20 minutes. Anything approaching a "4 hour cut" would be something like the assembly cut of the film

No. Because it doesn't exist. Most films begin with a "4 hour cut" before the editor gets to it. Just watch all the cut scenes on the various physical releases of the film. There's your cut. I would assume the film editor would be the only one. But the deleted scenes we have seen fron ROTS are pure gold.
