Immortalized for their soaring riffs and leather-and-studs aesthetic, Judas Priest stands as an unyielding force in rock history. When dissecting the fabric of heavy metal, the thread of Judas Priest songs is a central and defining strand, punctuated by Rob Halford's operatic vocals and the twin guitar attack of K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton.

Judas Priest is a band that simply needs no introduction; their own nickname says it all, they are the metal gods. Everyone screams for 'Painkiller' at their concerts, everyone screams when they play 'Breaking The Law.' But here are my top 10 of Judas Priest songs that are just (in some cases) much better than the songs we usually hear.. 10. Visions (Nostradamus).

Judas Priest is one of the greatest metal bands of all time. They're one of my absolute favorites and one of the reasons I got into the music industry. At this year's Guitcon I got a chance to play some Judas Priest riffs with Robert Baker and Pixxy Lixxx. Pixxy has been on my show before doing some lead licks and whatnot.

Harvest - Opeth. Opeth is one of the most exciting metal bands with its progressive approach to the genre. Released in 2001, Harvest is one of their most famous tunes, which is not like a classic metal song with its mellow tone and soft atmosphere. The song is mainly played with classic chords and a clean tone.

Favorite song is "Bloodstone", because those soaring riffs at the beginning are epic. Favorite album is Rocka Rolla, though Screaming For Vengeance is a close second. Best album is Sin After Sin, though Stained Class is almost tied. Best song is Sinner, specifically the version on Unleashed in the East.

If Judas Priest and Iron Maiden aren't metal then there's simply no such thing. I dont know, British steel sound like classic hard rock to me. Rapid Fire, Grinder, Breaking the Law, and Steeler are as heavy or heavier than anything Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Black Sabbath, Angel Witch, and so on we're doing in 1980.

Firepower - Senjutsu. Iron Maiden 10, Judas Priest 6, 1 tie. I think Maiden is the clear winner if we're gauging both on their entire body of work over the entire course of their career spanning each and every single incarnation and lineup and era of the band. Both have made masterpieces and mid/poor releases imo.
