I'm using the Digitakt LFO to modulate some synths via midi, so I wouldn't be able to use 16 audio tracks on the Digitakt II anyway (but I still would use more than 8). If I had to purchase my first Digitakt, I would have no doubt about the version to choose, I would want the new Digitakt II. Upgrading is a different subject, though.

Loopop Digitakt II review. I want one, for $1k is a little steep for me. Actually, the price is what got me from Digitakt 1 to Cicuit tracks, which I don't regret. But… still on my wish list. To be fair that device is suuuuper Powerfull. IMHO the price isn't too steep in this market.
