Its more so the brand than the gun. The name "Draco" is simply just a cool name to certain low intelligence people out there. Its an iconic gun mentioned in gangster rap. Now not ALL short barrel AK's are "Draco's". The Draco is a Romanian built AKM style gun. Its basically JUST a WASR10 with the barrel cut off of it.

The draco 9 is the same gun as the nak9 and pak9, just with different barrel lengths. As mentioned, all of them made in the same factory down the street from the real AK factory that we all know and love. Think I saw SHOT show footage showing a C39 pistol that looks like a milled Draco. However, the Draco in it's standard form is basically a stamped Romanian AK chopped down so that the muzzle is just forward of the gas block (which contains the sight). Receiver and internals are standard AK. The mini and micro use a short piston & gas system.
