The most beautiful solo I've ever heard would have to be The Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". The way the solo interacts with the rest of the song in such a beautiful-sounding way absolutely astounds me.

I've been around the block, seen most of the great shredders, but one of the most memorable shows ever was in Dortmund, I think 1990, and that was Jeff Beck on the 'Guitar Shop' tour.

Either album or live. Unoriginal or not, the solo has killer tone and is possibly the most emotive, lyrical solo guitar statement in popular music. The Song ' Blue - Jason Becker'. This guitar prodigy recorded this after getting diagnosed with ALS at the age of 19. At points you hear the guitar crying.

I don't know why, but the solo about 1/3 of the way through KGLW's 'Flamethrower' sticks in my brain so hard. Tragically short, though. Otherwise, while it isn't really metal, the solo about 2/3 of the way through The Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden just after the bridge is probably my favorite guitar solo. Shit's fuckin splendid.
