Via: Collecting Cars. Although its four-banger only produced 208 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, it could accomplish a 0-60 mph time in as little as 6.4 seconds. Do remember, the 944 S2 existed all the way back in the late '80s. Anything with a sub-8-second 0-60 mph time was properly quick.

This translated to a total power output of 208 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, channeled through a 5-speed manual transmission that allowed the Porsche 944 S2 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in as little as 6.2 seconds - pretty healthy figures if you ask us. The only that stays in my hanger is a 1990 944S2 Cab. Red on black with a period Becker. 928, Mustang, Vette, SM, Lotus, etc have come and gone. 944 is a bestfriend. S2 is the best 944 imo, get it checked by a mechanic and if you like it definitely go for it! I own a turbo, but I wish I'd gone for a S2.
