Yes it's a bit sharper in pc, but no oled screen , hdri or haptics or eye tracking … and overall is 1050$ to get a ps5+psvr2 compared to 3000$ for pcvr + valve index ( or compressed image on a quest2 via link ) So, if you own a psvr2 be happy. It's superb value. 95.

If anything, PSVR2 can help save PCVR by getting devs back into making higher end games that aren't just for Quest standalone. PSVR2 definitely has flaws but it is probably the best VR experience you can get without having a $1500+ PC. RE Village, Horizon, and Gran Turismo 7 show the potential of PSVR2. Hopefully, Sony keeps releasing games

Some VR sets support corrective optics inside the glasses, but that's just an extra point of failure. 3) I really don't want to give money to the metaverse efforts. Once the metaverse buzzword dies, and VR sets get sharp, affordable, and confortable for long sessions, I'll consider trying it.

You don't ever get a crisp clean image comparible to a flat screen in VR, I have seen some really bad shimmer in some PCVR, Quest and PSVR1 games, most of the time the experience of the game outweighs the graphics for me, just like using a handheld gaming device over a PC for example.

The problem is - to achieve anywhere near equivalent results - PCVR needs a lot more brute forcing than closed boxes do - even during PSVR launch, the horsepower delta needed was substantial, and it's only going to be larger with PSVR2. Basically - if you're fine with the lower-end performance anyway - you might as well only use Quest in standalone mode and save yourself the PC build alltogether.

PlayStation just killed PC VR - LTT review. I love how the entire thread is people shitting on the thumbnail and not looking at the video or talking points. The tldr is awesome headset for VR and amazing price for what you get. Downside is the PC library of games for VR is way larger but no shit.
