For metallic paints, silvers and golds would be for more prevalent in knights than tins and bronzes. You could use tins and bronzes on peasant units though. Peasants have a slightly more uniform unit paint theme, which is to basically use the 2 main colors of your army general or bsb. 7. Reply.

However, I'm now feeling how long this army will take to paint. When painting knights, do you: Paint knight by knight. Finish one and move to the next. Paint item by item—all the lances, then all shields, then all the x and y and z. I'm currently painting via that second option but am thinking of swapping to the first. I'd love some input!

Alternatively, you may wish to paint your army in a more classic scheme, with each knight proudly displaying their own heraldry, in much the way the knights within an Errantry Crusade army might. By mixing and matching the different transfers within each unit of your army, combining them with a wide array of colours and themes, this is easily done.

Bretonnian colour scheme help. Ive just purchased a large Bretonnian force & now its time to decide how to paint them. Im becoming more & more confident in steering away from 'Eavy metal schemes & doing my own thing. Foot knights, men-at-arms and peasants will follow a similar vein, being anywhere from minimum to maximum size squads of same color schemes. Grail knights and Questing knights will be painted in more unique heraldry, in blocks anywhere from 1-3, to give them each the option to really shine.

I think that makes the best looking army. Subject: Re:Painting Bretonnian Knights. For a unified look that is still very individualistic, just paint all the barding and surcoats the same color scheme. Then the shields and barding insignia can reflect individual heraldry without becoming a total mishmash of color.

Here's 10 recipe cards and colour schemes for the knights I've managed to ramble about for a hundred or so words. Hope that helps you in painting your Bretonnian Knights of the Realm on Foot!

Six more dashing knights complete our regiment - Jon has painted his in the colour of his very first Bretonnian army from the time of legend (the year 2000), while Joel has opted for the pink and yellow of Battenberg - a little-known fiefdom he claims is somewhere in Bretonnia. Luke used a bright, clean scheme of blue and white, while Tom preferred red and yellow complemented by a bold star.

There are also "metals." Silver and gold, painted as white and yellow. There are also "furs," mostly geometric patterns of white and blue or black. Don't paint a color over a color (red cross on a blue background) or a metal over a metal (white cross on yellow background), and you'll be fine.

The great dynamically posed metal horseheads for this unit, frankly, is why they're my favorite old Bretonnian knights, so having lots of them was a no-brainer. This also gives my general a big scary unit of elites to lead into battle. I've increased the spearmen to a block of 20 led by a knightly hero on foot.

Does Bretonnian Grail Knight had a specific unique color scheme

Generally speaking, every knight is either a lord with his own personal heraldry. Or a relative of such a lord who uses a variation on his lord's heraldry. Questing knights (searching for the grail) and grail knights (having found the grail) abandon all of their worldly possessions and holdings (save weapons and armor) to ride out on their own.
