But the more I use social media the more I see people being overly violent with words. Like there's no way to have a normal conversation. Especially on Twitter (x), no matter how well you write your post, there's always someone who will read it wrong and who will literally punch you in the face with words.

Stay Away From the Hypotheticals. Try to stay away from the hypotheticals. People who are venting come to you because they trust you and your opinions. If you start to go into hypotheticals, they may feel dismissed instead of supported. So, switch, "Well I can see how someone might do that," into, "I can see why you'd do that."

Try to remember the following tips: 1. Listen attentively and without judgment. It's important to really hear what the person is saying and to not judge them for what they are feeling. 2. Acknowledge the person's feelings. If you can, try to offer a supportive and empathetic response.

When someone says, "I need to vent to someone" or "I need to vent," it means that they need to find a listening ear. When someone says, "I need to vent to someone," they are looking for someone to listen to their thoughts and feelings. It is not an invitation to give unsolicited advice, which can make things worse.

Venting is a common behavior that many people engage in when they are feeling stressed, frustrated, or overwhelmed. It involves expressing one's emotions and thoughts to another person, often in an unfiltered and sometimes intense manner. While venting can be a healthy way to release pent-up emotions and gain perspective….

Venting is bad for our brains. Psychological experiments and studies over the decades have shown that complaining rewires our brains. It wears down a path of negativity, making it easier for our thoughts to travel in a negative direction in the future. (On the other hand, positive affirmations can keep us thinking clearly, even under stress.) 2.

4. Tap your support network. If you find that you still need to vent, then touch base with someone in your support network or your group. Explain what you experienced, why you're experiencing it, and request feedback if that's what you want. Of course, not everyone does want feedback.

Having someone to vent to - a listening ear who'll let you pour out your thoughts without judgment. When we vent, it's not always about finding immediate solutions to our problems. More often than not, we just need someone to acknowledge our feelings and say, "I hear you.". It's about emotional release, which can be incredibly

But I'm really just slowly deteriorating. My social skills are horrendous, I feel dumb and slow when talking to people, and have a hard time remembering simple things/tasks. I feel tired, unmotivated, and flat. I feel like nobody gets me and that people judge me for how I am (slow, tired, dumb etc).

Also, of course you're complaining for attention if you post here. All posts are for attention - when people post, they obviously want other people to read and respond to what they say. I don't see anything wrong with that. It's the whole point of having a forum. There's nothing pathological about wanting a bit of attention.
