Stems are pretty lame in my eyes and the rz doesn't have stems. So sounds like you're not so keen on them either. DDJ 1000 with a surface pro is basically an xz. Similar layout, more features. The XDJ-XZ is outdated by this point. The RX3 is already based on a new chipset. I have a FLX10 ordered so I'm biased.

But alas, pioneer says they're doing it so that venues can easily swap out equipment if it breaks malfunctions or any other issue crops up. Which is all fine but venues should have the CHOICE let alone regular everyday consumers. The opus and flx6 can do 4 tracks, there's no reason the xz couldn't. Pioneer dj just WONT.

The XDJ-XZ is outdated by this point. The RX3 is already based on a new chipset. I have a FLX10 ordered so I'm biased. I just prefer laptop based DJ'ing. And I cannot wait for Rekordbox to catch up with Serato and VDJ in regards to stems which are super cool. Stems open up so much potential and even ways to get out of mixing trouble.

Post. New XDJ-XZ Owner - a few questions, please ... 1) When I turn the master volume all the way off (fully counterclockwise), it makes a popping noise. Is this normal? 2) I have the unit's main XLR (L & R) going into a mixer. When I shut the XDJ-XZ off, there is silence coming from the monitors that are plugged into the mixer.
