Vince Waldon said: Did it: 1) start to misbehave immediately after you did the tune. 2) behave fine with the tune and then one day suddenly start to misbehave. or. 3) behave fine with the tune and is now gradually degrading. So I went from a mechanical pump to an Electronic setup all at once (including the tune).

A rise to power by way of a bite-sized, 450hp 13B-swapped Samurai. That a Suzuki Samurai is being featured by Super Street shouldn't come as a complete shock to some of our long-time fans who know

The Aerio 2.3 & 2.4 are transverse mounted motors where the 1.8 is longitudinally mounted. Their oil pans & pickup tubes are different but will exchange.

This Estacada, OR resident took a Suzuki Sidekick two door and threw in a turbocharged, built Mazda 13B rotary engine. The owner says the vehicle has Haltech stand-alone fuel management, a mini-spool in the rear end, line lock, rollbar, front mount intercooler, and nitrous that has allegedly never been used. ... If he has the 3 speed auto and swaps to a 5 speed manual, then the ECM shouldn't throw any codes. All 1.6 trannys will bolt up to other 1.6s, so there is no issue with the tranny bolting up to the engine. You should be able to swap the 5 speed and tcase into yours. The 4x4 crossmember should bolt right into yours.

Hi Redline, 1. Put the transfer case in 2wd mode. 2. Again, with the wheels in the air (just the front can do for this one): If the hub lock (or "Freewheel hub") is in the Lock position, and you turn the wheel, and the driveaxle (behind the wheel, the CV joint) does not rotate, you know for sure the lock isn't doing what it should, linking with

The manual transmission come from 1991 3 door, and the receiving vehicle is 1993 sidekick. We did not change the wiring and the computer. I am now working on hooking the electrical connection of the gearbox.

I have a 1993 Suzuki Sidekick, 193K miles, no issue what-so-ever. It is the 2-door JX model, 5-speed, 4WD. As I will probably have to rebuild the motor soon (it's just a little weak) I was planning on doing a few mods and building it the way I wanted. The first was to convert to auto transmission. The 3-speed with lock-up would be fine.

The original engine had 400,000 kms, burned a TON of oil both past the rings and valve seals, and felt down on power (but admittedly I had nothing to compare too). Compression on 1-4 was 140, 135, 150, and 115. Decided if it needed to be replaced anyways I would go to the 1.6L 16v.

Hello Everyone! I have a 1996 (Built in late 1995) Suzuki Sidekick Sport, with the 1.8L engine, the SV418. I have a copy of the Geo Tracker Service Manual from ACKSFAQ, I know that the 1.8L engine had a Supplementary Service Manual, labeled '1996 Suzuki Sidekick Supplementary Service Manual 1800'.

The bolts are different, the manuals have a taper sleeved bolt while the autos don't. I had to go back and get the bolts from a different wrecker. 96 X90.

The black/yellow wire from the clutch safety switch on the firewall runs into the starter. If the switch is not closed, the car won't start or crank. Some people have just bypassed the switch altogether, by jumping the black/yellow and black/red wires at the safety switch itself.
