Also, Casey Affleck destroyed four people with his choice. Morgan Freeman, the uncle, His girlfriend and likely Amanda's future. On the other hand the mother, however shitty, still deserved to know what happened to her daughter. But I don't think it's strong reason enough to make Affleck's choice.
