I agree, it's stuff like this that makes this city what it is. Subway performers are definitely part of the culture. I've lived in the city my whole life, and I depend on busses and trains to get around. I know the "I'm just trying to get home" mentality, but that's not what public transit is - you're never guaranteed a private little bubble.
