So I've been playing Minecraft since late 2013. Over time many new Mobs, Items, etc. where added. One of the best playthroughs I had in this game was on version 1.8.9 and for me that was one of the best times to be playing the game. Also some of the older mods like Orespawn (1.7.10) or Terramine (1.6.2) where regulars as far as playthroughs go.

For me one of the main reasons I play the old versions is for the terrain generation. Terrain generation Is 100% better in my opinion in the older versions of the game pre beta 1.8. The terrain is just far more random which made everywhere more unique and different compared to modern Minecraft where I find the terrain gen to be a bit bland
