His basekit aura reading perk is amazing. With Franklin's you're pretty much guaranteed even better looping than leaning just on mage hand, and skeletons. Combo it with Starstruck and his map, you can juggle hook states ez. Dying Light is my new favorite gen regression perk as it rewards this play style and actually uses the obsession mechanic.

There was about a year worth of killers that I found honestly extremely boring or unfun to play (Knight, Skull Merchant, Singularity, Xenomorph), but I loved Chucky, Unknown, and Vecna. Sure. Anything is possible. I don't think Vecna's the most likely option, but it's possible. They have already said, however, that it's only a killer. No survivors or new maps.
