If I remember correctly, it was made to at least show the cloud to make it obvious that you didn't fire a real weapon. thanks =) shame it wastes ammo for that though would just rather it not use any for that effect. #2. I really like nanobots as a mod, because it allows you to basically have the construction bot but you also need to build and stock the nanobots like a weapon, so there's both a cost of carrying 1-2 less weapons (depending if you want to use the anti-tree bots too) and also need to support the cost of creating the ammo too.

Nanobots and Loaders (only using the latter currently) are IMO early to midgame items. If I play modded, I'm going ham. This means Bobs + XY Mods and then some and once you got the research of stack inserter cap. to a reasonable level no Loader will even get close to a Stack Inserter (or Ultimate Stack Inserter in my case).
