Norwegians love bunad, they would probably be happy to see you wear it. Three points of warn: As many have pointed out, bunads a. local, expressing heritage. My GF wears the one from Gudbrandsdalen but only because her family's cabin is there. Some frown upon that.

The Bunad was the creme de la creme (sorry about the lack of ' ` idk where they belong) of outfits, and for many it still is. It is and it was incredibly expensive. Wearing it was a sign of wealth. You did not alter the Bunad for a wedding, except that you added a Bunad Crown. In my deeply honest opinion they are incredibly ugly lol.
