If the venue has a PA then all you need is two microphones (one for you and one for a guitar) and you're set. If you have electronics in your guitar then plug in and use a mic.

You need what you need tho, personally I'd be weighing up not having to deal with carrying tons of stuff. A guitar, mic, something like a cube 2 (some people use 2 of these linked) is what id probably use, and play electric rather than acoustic. That's just me tho. Like others have said all you really need is a guitar.
