There are two ways to create a walk cycle, either have the character perpetually walk in place with pre and post set to cycle then cycle with offset on the root controller to move the character - or - have the character translate in Z cycle with offset the rest of the controllers and counter animate the root

I think if you drop the hips a little more on the gate it would be a little more realistic. Also maybe a little less butt shake and a little more shoulder dip. Might help. Also a little movement in the head, most people don't walk just focused on one point with there head. Again not a pro at animation I think the walk cycle is a really good start.
