June 3. Mage Hand has been buffed into an uncounterable Scamper 2.0. Every use of it guarantees hits, and the buffs need to be reverted. Every game I have played as or against Vecna, Mage Hand has never failed to enable the Killer to land a hit. Mage Hand's best use on PTB was to allow the Killer to reposition underneath a pallet, giving them

Is Mage Hand Legerdemain still broken? Hello all! I'm planning my next character (a post for another day perhaps) and looking into Arcane Trickster. What I've been seeing is a lot of posts from 2023 saying that there were a ton of issues initially with their mage hand feature using CHA instead of INT, not actually being able to use thieves

It was honestly kinda a weird decision to make mage hand a summon that can actually throw items, rather than a telekinesis-adjacent spell. It actually contributes to your health pool and action economy as a result. With what it can do I can understand it being a short rest ability for balance, but it's really weird as a cantrip. (And I'd say

Off the top of my heas 2 times Mage Hand was valuable: Act 2 Underdark: The mage hand can pick up ans drag Bhealan's pack to him. He'll use the Misty Step scroll inside to get to you. Act 3 Circus: You can cast fog over the Mage Hand and use it to unlock the Displacer Beast cage if you pickpoket a guard for the key without committing a crime. She runs off, which means you don't have to fight

June 11. Mage hand really is going to be a nightmare to balance. To answer to OP's question, they are nerfing Vecna because there is a balance issue here. Pretty much all the YouTubers I follow were unanimous in recognizing the issue. When there is almost no counterplay then something needed to happen.

Arcane trickster is a sleeper pick especially when paired with transmutation wizard, you get the medicine and slight of hand expertise for getting materials and doing alchemy, and you get plenty of potions for your hand to drink/throw, and access to circle of daggers for popping potions. Arcane trickster Mage hand in general is kinda a sleeper

All of the cantrips should be infinite uses per day, it's kind of the point of them. Mage hand is useful for doing a couple of things, like being able to disarm traps at range, turning on/off lights or causing a distraction. ... just make it a level 1 spell and buff it accordingly (it's far too weak to justify the restriction right now.) It

Re: Mage Hand, not really all that interesting. This spell is currently completely the opposite of what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be a utility tool which can interact with items from a distance or carry things. Instead it is a combat summon with HP which can attack and shove.

Magic does what it does, it isn't flexible. The mage hand spell moves things slowly, catapult is for moving them fast enough to hurt. #10 Kordis.

2. Stuff the mage hand in someones mouth 3. Pants someone 4. Hold something in front of an enemies eyes so they can't see him and he can hide 5. Leave mage hand near an enemy so he can get sneak attack. Most of these I've told him no as they would requite a form of attack, which the hand cannot do.

Utility. A spectral, floating hand appears at a point you choose within range. The hand lasts for the duration or until you dismiss it as an action. The hand vanishes if it is ever more than 30 feet away from you or if you cast this spell again. You can use your action to control the hand.

Well, you're right; only the mage rolls for perception. The Mage Hand can just activate and trigger all the traps everywhere, though, so I don't consider BG3 too broken -- yes, "perceiving" the trap is technically not the proper path (triggering it would be). But it's one way to tackle the circumstances.

Classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard. Mage Hand creates a spectral, floating hand at a point of your choice within thirty feet of you and that hand can manipulate the following: Manipulate an object. Open an unlocked door or container. Store or retrieve an item from an open container. Pour contents out of a vial.

Baldur's Gate 3. Man...my crew is a bunch of idiots. Millions 3 years ago #1. Only level 4 right now but yeesh, my team is terrible. They can't hit the broad side of a barn. Even with height advantage in the middle of the day with an 88% chance to hit. MISS!

Turn 1 cast mage hand. Turn 2 lift the thing 30 feet in the air. Depending on how you are ruling the release of the item, it may take a 3rd turn to release it. I personally would rule that it takes 2 turns to do this, 1 to cast mage hand, the second turn to grab the item and lift it.

The Mage Hand spell states that . You can move the hand up to 30 feet each time you use it. The Rogue Archetype Arcane Trickster gets Versatile trickster at 13th level, and it says. You gain the ability to distract targets with your mage hand.As a bonus action on your turn, you can designate a creature within 5 feet of the spectral hand created by the spell.

Moifaso Apr 3, 2023 @ 5:42am. Pretty sure mage hand can press buttons by punching them, not sure about levers though. #4. Ranxerox Apr 6, 2023 @ 6:33am. Because it doesn't explode or create a surface Larian was uninterested in developing it properly. If you have the choice don't take it as a cantrip as it is useless.
