I, too, am trying to learn Modern Greek, and two books that I am using are Essential Modern Greek Grammar by Douglas Q. Adams, and Conversational Modern Greek in 20 Lessons by Cortina Publishing. The first one is good and concise, and the second is okay, but not really blowing me out of the water, either.
