Use the most stable board you can find, you don't want any 'bendability' in it. I have not made the lamb however I have made a few horses using the lamb pan. I always use bamboo skewers, one through the head, one througn the middle section and one through the butt end.

Basically you grease the inside of the pan, clip it together and place it on a cookie sheet to fill about 1/2 with cake batter. Then you insert the greased (inside and out) heating core into the bear cavity and fill it about 1/2 way with batter. Bake.
