I'm using Stepper Online 17HM19-2004S1s on both. My V2.1438 is just using 2209s at 24V and are a lot quieter. I went with this model since I got feedback on Discord that the LDO 0.9-degree steppers caused more resonances/ VFA artifacts and in general, I focus on print quality, so 0.9-degree steppers versus 1.8-degree seemed like the way to go.

Yes it's fine. Keep the current in check or else it will get too hot. Most likely will melt the plastic parts mounting to the motors first. 48v power supply isn't actually 48v at the motor, it's a very complicated waveform that's all chopped up. 3. DiamondHeadMC.

I believe then I had upgraded stepper motors, but nothing super special. not much change in marlin. Now I run klipper with 48v LDO super power motors and can hit over 20k accel at 500mm/s. Without linear rails.
