This. If your system can run Windows 8.1, Windows 10 should run at least as well if not better. For the most part, you shouldn't expect projects that you save in Cakewalk by BandLab to open in 8.5. Projects saved in SONAR 8.5 should open in CbB, though.

First, make sure you have removed all instances of a plugin. Check the path Cakewalk/Sonar scans for plugins in preference and ma,e sure you do not have duplicates. Also, you may have installed vst 2 and 3 of some plugins, if you delete only one version the other will still be found by Sonar.

I had created a project in Sonar 8.5 Producer 32 bit. I also used Bandlab Cakewalk x64 to record vocals on a laptop and imported the vocal tracks back into Sonar 8.5 for mixing. In Sonar 8.5 all plugins used were 32 bit. I installed it years ago on an Intel i7 4790K in Windows 7.

Having an old Cakewalk SSO account does not help with the search for SONAR 8.5 software unless one has SONAR 8 disks. SONAR 8.5 was the first downloadable upgrade, however; the download is not a complete version of the DAW. The download contains only the files needed to upgrade an existing SONAR 8 install.
