P30 vs USP | HKPRO Forums

While the USP is indeed "classic" the lines of the P30 and P30L are quite nice in my opinion. I own and shoot both (P30L, not P30). Both are excellent all around guns. The ergonomics of the guns is a key difference. The USP does better in bigger hands as it has a more "squared" shape to the grip.

Is HK's P30 Better Than USP? P30 vs USP - YouTube

HK's USP series is legendary and has evolved over last 39 years. Question is - how does the P30 series stack ip against the gun that set the standard?

JonFrost. They are both great. The p30L is not much different from the p30, in my opinion. I really love the p30 series, have 2 L's, a regular and an sk. That said, my full size usp9 with the jet funnel, match trigger, and dawson sights is about as great a pistol as you can find, again, my opinion. I would say since you have a p30, the usp is a

Cannot go wrong with either. My wife carries a P30 and I have carried a USP 9mm a lot. The P30 carries a little easier but I haven't had any problems carrying the USP. If the USP grip is a bit big for you check out the USP compact. Grip is quite a bit smaller but still has the USP feel and reputation.

HK P30 Review 2024: Is this popular gun worth the cost?

https://gununiversity.com/hk-p30-review/
H&K made another iterative change with the P30 design, but it feels like more of a jump from the P2000 to the P30 than the USP was to the P2000. The most visible change is the reshaping of the grip to make it more ergonomic.

In all seriousness, USP vs P30L. Why'd you go with what you chose?

P30L in 9mm and USP45. USP designed for the heavier caliber shooting experience, and the P30L, a modernized HK for economic 9mm plinking. Then California decided only the USP45 for me and that was that. TLDR: I'd say USP if you like 1911 style frame and controls, and don't mind the lack of a light rail.

USP 9 (join the r/uspmasterrace ). Better looks. Better trigger. Better controls (hate P30's decocker). Feels more solid overall. H&K overbuilt it to handle 40 S&W from the start, so you know it's built to last. The only thing I'd give the P30 points for is the mag release. It's bigger and easier to engage than the one found on the USP 9.

HK USP 9mm vs P30 9mm, both w thumb safety - pistol-forum.com

Steve, my experience is the P30 feels better than almost any pistol in your hand, but the straight sided USP shoots better. Plus, the best HK hammer trigger available, the hybrid match LEM is exclusive to the USP. I would ditch the thumb safety, go hybrid LEM, put the finger ledge OEM base plates on your magazines, either Dawson or HD sights

HK USP Compact vs P30 | HKPRO Forums

Between the USPc or P30, The USPc is smaller and better trigger. The P30 is more ergonomic grip wise but probably will not effect shooting that much. The USPc is designed better for a thumbs forward grip (the long slide release of the P30 get in the way for many). The Hk 45c is a little bigger than the USPc 40.

https://www.reddit.com/r/HecklerKoch/comments/18okub6/is_the_p30p30sk_better_than_or_equal_to_the/
The P30 has flat-out better magazines than the USP9. Don't be deceived by the P30's contouring, it is built tough and the internals are all HK. Over time we will see more information on the P30, while with the USP there have been a few notable examples of ammo company test mules and such going the distance with documentation.

The P30 trigger reset is a little longer than the USP series but they can be cleaned up now with a drop in trigger mod. If going for a IWB CC setup, stick with the USPC, it will conceal a bit easier. If you're looking for a suppressor host, the P30 will be the better way to go. P30 trigger sucks.

which one to get, HK USP 9 or HK P30 - The Firing Line Forums

https://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=301759
I like the USP 9 beacuse of the controls. (safety/decocker similar to 1911, slide catch good length so my thumb does not hit it when shooting.) I like the HK P30 because it is size and the grip is more comforatble. I do not like the USP because it is bulky. I do not like the P30 because of the slide catch and no 1911 style thumb safety.

Plus Hk thought enough of the USPC to use it as a base moving forward for the p30 and p2000 where the full size USP l/Mark23 and its amazing RSA have not resurfaced in newer designs for whatever reason. Either Is a great gun. The P30 specifically is plenty good for any duty weapon/hd/cc use. Sounds like you prefer it so easy choice.

USP vs P30 : r/HecklerKoch - Reddit

The line of lineage is USP -> USP Compact -> P2000 -> P30. In other words, the P30 is basically a USP compact. The major differences from that mean magazine well changes, recoil system changes, and some FCG changes. As a result, the P30 is more ergonomic, but has a worse trigger and very slightly worse recoil control.

HK P30 vs P2000 vs USP Compact | HKPRO Forums

The P30 is a more modernized, refined usp imho--more customizable ergonomics, slightly less aggressive grip, slimmer lines, same rugged reliability H&K is known for. The USP, while a mid 90s design, is world-renowned for its reliability and toughness. Grip is a bit wider to me and more aggressive than both the P30sk & p2000.

USP vs P30 reliability : r/HecklerKoch - Reddit

All HK's, all Glocks, all FN's, all Beretta's should not fail or have premature parts breakage. The P30 is in the direct lineage of the USP. It's all in what you want. I don't own a USP, but I do have a P8A1, P2000, and P30. If the USP didn't have such a cult following the P30 would have replace the P2000, which would have replaced

H & K P30 or P2000 or USP | Handgun Forum

https://www.handgunforum.net/threads/h-k-p30-or-p2000-or-usp.28780/
P30- Newer line of full size handgun, i believe it is lighter than the USP's, the ergonomics are better as well, alot of people on here have the .45 variant (HK45) and love it. P2000- Relatively newer smaller handgun, smaller and lighter than the others which means good for carrying (especially if you get the P2000sk) USP- Full size handgun
