Cinestill 800t is the fastest color film on the market as of 2023 and is purpose-built for shooting in low-light conditions. 800t is the only tungsten-balanced C41 color film on the market, making it the perfect choice for street and night photography . Daylight-balanced film stocks often need to be rated two ISO stops below their box speed

Cinestill 800T isn't just another film on the market; it's a storyteller's dream. It excels in painting the night in vivid colors and capturing moments that resonate with a sense of nostalgia and wonder. Whether it's a bustling cityscape under the moonlight or a quiet alley bathed in neon, this film invites you to see the world differently.

Pushing and pulling CineStill 800T. CineStill 800T is often used at night or indoors due to its tungsten colour balance and relatively high ISO rating. However, it can also be reliably pushed up to EI 3200 and pulled to EI 200. The overall contrast of the film will be affected but still acceptable, and the grain remains fine in all those scenarios.

CINESTILL 800T - FILM REVIEW - Photo Basecamp

CineStill 800T was the first film released under the brand name, and is a tungsten (hence the T) balanced color negative film based on the same motion picture film used by many of my favorite films and TV shows. These include 'The Walking Dead', 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'Inception' and 'Django Unchained'.

Shooting Cinestill 800T at Night: Tips & Example Photos

https://gridfiti.com/cinestill-800t-night/
CineStill 800T, like many other films, has wonderful exposure latitude. That means that the film can handle being metered several stops over or under the box speed of 800 ISO. When shooting at night, setting your metering 1 to 2 stops below (so 400 or 200, in this case) will still reproduce legible images with little to no detail loss.

Cinestill 800T | Photographic Film Review - @sccjono

https://sccjono.com/2022/01/cinestill-800t/
For the first in a series of photographic film reviews, I have chosen the very distinctive look of Cinestill 800T. An ISO of 800 makes it great for night or low light shooting. But unlike others, Cinestill is based on movie stock and is tungsten colour balanced to give a very cinematic look. Also, because the so called "remjet" layer is

Though in its day marketed as the world's largest point-and-shoot camera, it is far from being a easygoing picture machine. With appropriate f-numbers in the range from f/16 to f/45, my exposures consume a lot of time. But I was attracted by a special feature: the lenses have a built-in shift of (fixed) 8mm.

No. 11 Nov 2023. #1. I had a couple of rolls of Cinestill 800t that I bought from here back in Nov 2020 hoping to use in East Asia. The rolls expired in Nov 2020, but I kept them in the freezer (trips to Asia kept getting postponed with lockdowns, plus life stuff etc.). I eventually made it out this year, and was a bit disappointed with the

CineStill 800T is a high speed tungsten-balanced color negative film stock, designed for low-light situations. Photographers can rate the film at EI 200-1000 without having to push process and still retain plenty of highlight and shadow detail. And when needed, 800T can be push processed all the way up to 3200 with increased contrast and grain.

What Makes 800T the Original and Only True 800-Speed Tungsten-Balanced

https://cinestillfilm.com/blogs/news/what-makes-800t-the-original-and-only-true-800-speed-tungsten-balanced-film-for-still-photography
For those looking for fresh film, we are fortunate to still have several other excellent high-speed color films available today (even with the recent unavailability of 400H and C200) — from UltraMax and Portra 400 to Lomo 800 and Portra 800 — but 800T is still the only tungsten-balanced, true 800-speed film made for still photography. . Anything else, i

Cinestill 800t - the best high speed color film?: Film Photography Talk

I've posted multiple times here raving about the Cinestill 800T. I think it's the best high speed film for concert photography since there is not a lot of choices (portra and Lomo 800 are the only other options I can think of). Took it a few weekends ago to Coachella Music and Arts Festival and it didn't disappoint!

A long exposure at night time using the Zenza Bronica ETRS, and CineStill 800t. 4. Check if your film needs an exposure adjustment at night. Most color film is designed for daylight and will require an exposure adjustment under tungsten light sources like street lamps. This was a big adjustment for me, and one that I had to learn the hard way.

The rule with Cinestill 800T is, in most people's eyes, that it's a film not meant for daylight photography. Obviously - it's formulated for Tungsten, or artificial light. And Cinestill also sell a film for daylight shooting, naturally named Cinestill 50D (Daylight). Clearly this story is heading in a very specific direction - I

Utilise the amazing exposure latitude of Cinestill 800t to make your shooting easier. Cinestill 800t can be pushed in post processing quite a fair way so you can over or under expose by at least 2 stops (maybe more but I haven't personally tested) so you can keep your SS under control in challenging light conditions.
