Fantastic excursion! Sep 2020. We rode the Cape Cod excursion train leaving from Buzzards Bay. The train travels over the canal railroad bridge and along the canal out towards the salt marshes of Barnstable. You travel out for an hour, then the train reverses and travels back for about a 2 hour excursion.

We sat in a "First Class" car, and had a box lunch during this 2.5 hour scenic tour, of part of the Cape. From Hyannis center, we went north towards Cape Cod Bay, into Sandwich and then Bourne. First you see the back yards of businesses in Hyannis, then many large houses where the rich live, mixed with ordinary homes, and a beautiful golf course.
