Some things I have found about 1.6 Nuclear Stuff (Updating as I find more) using my Minimalist Modpack: To summarize: Components are cheaper, and complexity has increased. 1) There is now Plutonium (Unobtainable AFAIK) 2) 4 types of uranium: Uranium 235, Uranium 238, Enriched Uranium Fuel, MOX Nuclear Fuel. 3) Uranium 235 Small Pile (1/9th)

The thorium is there to make the plutonium pulse more, so I'm not really worried about its output. Also it's easy to obtain, much easier than plutonium. Since posting this, I've found a better thorium/plutonium design. The 2 plutonium cells output 170eu/t each. Therefore it's more efficient and has a higher output, but uses more thorium.

Perhaps for the plutonium in the middle, it could be a Reactor and the more Reinriched Uranium cells (Or plutonium for gregT) in it the bigger the explosion. Would be pretty cool. And for Radiation, here is what it should be.

Mod. IndustrialCraft 2. Type. Solid block. The Nuke is a dangerous and expensive explosive device from IndustrialCraft 2 (IC2). It will apply radiation to anyone nearby when it detonates. It acts like an ordinary TNT block, though it is five times more powerful. In older versions, it can be activated by Redstone, Flint and Steel and other sources.

A nuclear reactor is a multiblock structure that is used to generate power for the IndustrialCraft 2 mod. Nuclear reactors can be a small as a single block and scale up to a 5x5x5 structure for Fluid Reactors. Equipping the Hazmat Suit is necessary to avoid radiation damage while holding radioactive items. Radioactive Items include all the Fuel Rods, Depleted Fuel Rods, Processed Uranium

Oct 21, 2015. #3. You can get 360EU/t out of a stable zero maintenance reactor. You can automate the insertion and removal of fuel rods if you fill the other empty spaces with a cheap component. I like this design as it seems one of the more efficient (in terms of total EU/uranium rod) from that list, and it consists of a repeated 3x3 tile, so

Unlike Uranium Cells, Plutonium Cells can not be re-enriched and will dissappear once used up. As they are more powerful, you will have to monitor your Nuclear Reactor more often so that it doesn't overheat. It's crafting recipe is the same as Uranium Cells, accept using Plutonium instead of Uranium. Hope you like my idea!

Unknown. Type. Explosive. Stackable. Yes (64) The Nuke is an IndustrialCraft 2 explosive. It functions in a similar way to TNT and ITNT, but has a much higher detonation power, as big as certain Nuclear Reactor explosions. Because of this and possible uses for griefing, the Nuke's detonation power may be changed in the IC 2 config file.

Plutonium 239 is a highly dangerous and radioactive element. It can not be found in nature, but can be synthesized from Uranium 238 in the Nuclear Reactor. Plutonium can be obtained by placing Depleted Uranium or Depleted MOX Fuel Rods in a Thermal Centrifuge. | Plutonium is used to craft MOX Nuclear Fuel and Pellets of RTG Fuel.

Building a Nuclear Reactor power generation system is a significant time and resource investment and requires a solid commitment from the Player.

Jun 20th 2015. #1. Having installed the latest versions of Reactorcraft, Buildcraft, IC2, and some other mods, I have been having a fun time. However, I had one problem, the new nuclear weapons need plutonium (or uranium if you want an inefficient and low yield bomb), and regrettably I cannot use the plutonium from my breeder reactor I have set up.

The MadPack. IndustrialCraft2 Experimental is the latest continuation of IndustrialCraft 2, a large and popular tech mod. While keeping the core concepts of IC 2, it introduces a variety of new mechanics and machines. Machines and cables do not explode if they are overloaded with the wrong voltage in this version.

IndustrialCraft 2. IndustrialCraft2, often stylized as IC2, is a mod for Minecraft based around industrial processes and is one of the most venerable mods still in use in Feed The Beast today. IC 2 introduces numerous features across a variety of areas in Minecraft, including resource processing, mining, agriculture and the player's armory itself.

IC2: { { {id}}} The Nuclear Reactor is a generator that produces EU by slowly breaking down Uranium Cells. As cells decay inside the reactor, they produce heat. Heat may be removed by several different cooling methods. If cooling is insufficient, the reactor will gradually overheat and eventually explode.

My second suggestion would be to substitute uranium ingots with enriched cells in the nuke recipe. My feeling is that such a powerful explosive should be much more difficult to craft, especially if you're on a server. Besides, it would kind of simulate the process you have to go through IRL to produce weapon-grade uranium.

Uranium is a metal resource added by IC² and generated as ore between layers 0 and 64, usually in groups of up to 2 blocks. It requires an iron pickaxe or better to mine. Several forms of uranium are radioactive and will poison (often quite severely) anyone handling them without the use of a Hazmat Suit.
