The best way to raid the termites is by turning off gathering and turning on attack, at a high traffic area (their gathering sites especially for 5.1), kill a number of termites and once you have enough turn off attack and turn back on gathering which will cause the Matabele Ants (at least most of them) to ignore the termites and pick up the food and then run back towards the nest (note that

For the Matabele's its quite close and you can honestly go either way, although generally I find it a bit more useful to get revived ants up quicker and the extra movement speed from Faster Responder than the sting from Anesthetist.

Formica Sanguinea is a Non Player Controlled (NPC) Ant, and is only encountered during the Fusca Level in Challenge 1.2. Formica Sanguinea are not really 'dangerous', per say, in that they dont have the numbers or strength to overpower the Black Ant soldiers 1 on 1, but they are dangerous to the colony because of their nasty ability and how they attack the colony.

To anyone curious about matabele perks in the formicarium, here they are with my personal opinion. Perk slot 1: Sustain: Each attack restores a small amount of health to nearby allies. Preserve: Matabele ants emit an aura that regenerates health out of combat. Perk slot 2: Field medic: Fallen ants are tended to slightly behind the front line

I like to think that no one variant is better, just is better equipped for different circumstance. like Taunt Vs Stun, you want an ant that can tank damage and allow your ants to slow the enemy advance or get stun to make an army of super soldiers. same thing with Vigorous v Pervasive. want a second wave of ants that is massively buffed and deal a lot of damage, go Vigorous. you want an ant

It is here, Pandinus imperator, the emperor scorpion. Growing to 20 centimeters in length, this true titan of the undergrowth dwarfs almost anything that crosses its path. With bulging pedipalps equally effective for digging up insects and tearing them apart, this encounter could mean extinction for the colony.
