Switch is worth the money just for character swap alone. Plus, if you get Wii U, you'll have to buy the dlc maps separately. Hyrule Warriors only released with 1 Adventure mode map. You'll have to buy all the dlc characters aswell, if you want them. Highly recommended, since more variety makes longer games fun.

When you think about it numerically, if the average mission is around 12 minutes (including loading time) and there's about 1000 missions in Adventure mode, you're looking at about 200 hours to complete it. Add in Legend and Challenge mode as well as menuing and it's pretty reasonable to say around 250-300 hours is fairly typical.

You could easily spend upwards of 500 hours if you want to 100% the game in every way. If you just want to play Legend Mode for the story, that will take you about 30 hours. The nice thing is, once you unlock all the characters, it's really your choice how much farther you want to go, and how much you enjoy the gameplay.
