Posted February 10, 2014. CMD+TAB is a Mac function to open tabs. CMD = CTRL on Windows, AFAICT. Ctrl + Tab = Switch Tabs. Adding Shift does so in reverse. Ctrl + T = New Tab. Ctrl + W = Close Tab. Ctrl + Shift + T = Open previously closed Tab. Ctrl + Shift + W = Close Browser. That last one is dangerous.

The bigger the screen the more you are likely to open the more tabs. I have no issues. I have noticed that Chrome uses lots of RAM when a large number of tabs are open. Absolutely not. lmao, I have 4GB of RAM and can open 100 tabs in google chrome easily (almost all of them youtube). I think google chrome minimizes the requirements of the tabs that you are not looking at right this moment, so if you are only actively using one tab, 4GB could be plenty.

If the 16GB one is in your budget then that would be the safest choice. I used my base model M1 for my Master's research, and often had up to 90 tabs open on Chrome, without any noticeable slowing down. So I'm sure the base model M2 will be just as capable. Remember that many extensions/apps have pages that run in the background and can eat up a lot of memory, which skews the total number. My CB has 2GB of ram and I've got 3 reddit tabs open, a Github one, YouTube and 6 Facebook (in addition to a WhatsApp web window and a Messenger window.
