4 Flatten out the wall by screeding and then touch up. Let the render dry for about 30 minutes until it's firm to touch. Then use a straight edge to screed, or flatten out, the render. Next fill in any hollows left over with more render. You'll see the hollows because of their lighter colour.

7 Apply the adhesive and beads around the window. Apply a 2mm thick and 25mm wide layer of adhesive around the corners of the window ledge. Follow the same process as you did on the corners. Cut the bristles short so they are stiffer. I'd recommend applying the product in two applications. This amount of cracking, even if it is superficial, indicates the render is moving. This is likely because it has lost adhesion to the surface beneath. If you were to simply fill the cracks, or render over the existing render, the cracks would reappear because the render is not adequately attached to the surface beneath.

I recommend using a Sabco Jumbo Wash Sponge to dampen the exposed render before patching it with mortar.
