Honda CBR250R (2011-2013) verdict. The CBR250R looks good and is a cheap learner-legal machine. But it isn't as cool or sporty as its rivals and it is also lacking in power when compared to them, meaning the updated CBR300R is a better buy for only a few quid more. If you want cheap motoring and aren't worried too much about speed, it is a

Sadly due to life, it didn't get used much at all and just sat around. When it was my turn to ride it, I threw in a new battery, fresh oil and filter and a new spark plug. And that was it, she fired straight up! That's a Honda for you. Now riding the CBR250R. My first impression was, "where the fuck is the power?"

The bike has no problems keeping up with traffic or passing on the 55-65 mph highways I ride on. The bike feels a bit quicker than my I4 Ford Fusion on the highway; it's more than capable of normal highway behavior. At speed it's smooth, turning 6-7k rpm. The engine and gearshift stay busy riding the 250.

The CBR250RA is a fun little bike to ride on the back roads. It's quite an entertaining little motorcycle even if you've been riding for years. Suspension components are budget items, but they work well on this bike. The suspension is moderately firm but not harsh. Handling is stable at speed and in the corners.
