Hatsan 135QE Votex Carnivore.. My experience after three years

This does an excellent job of quieting it down. The Hatsan barrel was already threaded for an end cap. Even at .30 caliber, the Hatsan Carnivore 135 air rifle is NOT a big game airgun. But it does have more than enough power for just about any "small game". Below. This group was shot at 35 Yards using JSB 50.15 Grain pellets.

The Hatsan 135 QE - (Year One Review) - Part 1. The gun I ordered from Pyramyd Air was the Hatsan 135 QE in .22 Cal. Preface: This is a comprehensive review on this interesting beast built on the carnivore platform. It's not meant to bash Hatsan but this is the quality your getting.

The Hatsan 135 QE Vortex Carnivore .30 isn't my cup of tea, never had one but have seen reviews with frequent references to "The Elephant Gun" of airguns. My Benjamin Trail NP XL .22 has a cocking effort of 27 pounds, can't enjoy shooting for long, my hat is off to you, think your cocking effort closer to 50 pounds!

I do agree that the .25 will do most of what the .30 will do but with better range and accuracy. But not everybody needs the range as much as they need the power. Just ordered the 135 QE in .25 cal. I'm averaging 820 FPS with 22 grain HN Hornets for an average of 33 FPE.

547. The latest video review from Steve Scialli at AEAC covers the Hatsan Carnivore 135. This is an unusual beast - a .30 caliber, break barrel air rifle! Steve takes us through the performance of this Hatsan, showing that downrange energy is very strong - even though the muzzle velocity of this gun is less than 550 fps with most pellets.

Cool, I got the 135 in .25 with a scope installed from pyramid air, it's my first and so far only "adult Air rifle". I only shoot offhand, can get a few inch groupings at 25 yards so far. Here's a pic with it when I took it hunting in Mohave National Preserve, didn't find any game to shoot at that trip though.

While the BT Big Bore Carnivore is a PCP rifle built for .30- and .35-caliber pellets, much more than most air-rifle hunters will need, Hatsan carries a wide variety of PCP, break-action-gas-piston and break-action-spring-powered .177 options. The Hatsan Carnivore 135QE is the world's most powerful big-bore break-barrel airgun. This airgun is made for the big and heavy .30(7.62mm) pellet. At first, this caliber was reserved to PCP airguns only, because they could provide more power. So how does Hatsan do this? To keep it easy: A big spring, delivers more power.

I have both the Hatsan 135 in .30 caliber and a Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2 in .22 caliber. From my experience the Magnum 22 is better for pest control and hunting small game. The 30 caliber is just too much for things like rats/mice, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbit, crow and other similar size pests or game.

Haha I have one..just because i wanted a .30 cal air rifle., i have no regrets. Pros are bigger holes and lots of fun shooting those big chunks of lead Cons the ammo is bit more expensive than .22 /.177, only few € extra , not much choice in pellets like the other calibers.

For $200-$300 you could probably get a 12 gauge shotgun or a savage axis and those would be a much better choice then a mod 135. Like i said i highly doubt that its legal to use a Mod 135 for deer where ever you are, plus its under powered for game that large. Reply. unforgiven4148.
