Seventh. Now that you've ordered your clips to the track, you need to compress it. Go into your mixer, click on master, and open the fruity compressor, now compress it to where it sounds best, now start listening to it through different sources, different volumes, etc. Because if it doesn't sound right on one, it isn't mixed right and you

1) Pick the Right Track. When picking an original song to remix, it is important that you choose your song carefully. We recommend only remixing songs that you like. If you hear an original song and your first thought is to change it up completely, then you should probably go with another track.

1. Pick a Song to Remix. The first step is to find a song to remix. Pick a song that you like and feel you can make better. It's great to pick popular songs from trending music artists to get more people to listen to your remix. You can use the popularity of popular music artists to get more people to listen.

7. The Mixer. The mixer is the final section of FL Studio you'll be using, and for complete beginners to music production, it's best to focus on the rest of the process for now, and only move onto the mixer when you've full grasped these stages. To open the mixer, click the mixer button in the top menu bar, or press F9.

10. Use Parts of the Original Track. Using parts of the original track for fills and transitions is a great way to spice up your remix. For example, you could take 1 bar of the original, stick it at the end of a 16-bar phrase in your remix, automate some phaser and filters to create an awesome transitional effect.

5. Create a game plan and arrange your remix. Having a clear sense of the direction of your remix is essential for you to actually finish the mix (even if you get stuck on the way). To do so, it's important to first create a general game plan beforehand.

Good tip! Just wanted to add that you need to make sure it matches the bpm. If it's semi popular song, tunebat should tell you exactly. If not, click top left of sample.. then detect bpm (usually choose between 75-150). Then set that number for the sample you're using. Ideally, you'll want to use a song closer to 80 or 160 bpm so it flows

Remixing comes from the DJ term of mixing to get "remixing", where as "mixing" is generally an audio engineering term, two totally different fields. "Then a final Mix down". Notice how the only production skill you mentioned there was processing ( which falls under mixing in a sense ) and then mixing.

Re: IS there a way to put full song in FL Studio and REMIX I. Try to find CDs of the tracks you want to remixes, rip them as WAVs. Throw the WAVs into FL, cut them to pieces and rearrange them how you see fit, back track them how you want. It is still possible to grab accapella or solo sections of tracks.

You'll learn by ear as you go. I used to just throw notes into the piano roll, play them, tweak them and repeat. Looking back it was a very tedious way to do it. My only saving grace is learning guitar which helped me learn which notes were which and then I could just transpose them into the piano roll or simply record a guitar part instead.
